When Pansy announced that she was pregnant with a baby girl, and Hermione and Ginny squealed in delight as Pansy gushed over the possible names in the kitchen of his new acquired home that he and Hermione decorated. Draco began to exit the room when Pansy began to tease him about having one of his own sometime soon after the wedding of course. He walked out of the room but Hermione saw the small smile that formed on his face as he went to talk to Harry about his thoughts on the baby.
When Theo finally introduced Luna as his girlfriend to them all, Merlin it took him forever to gain the courage. They made a good looking couple. How they sat on the sofa with their hands intertwined like a couple of kids as he made her blush with his whispers. That made Draco Malfoy smile
The day of Ginny and Blaise’s wedding, even though Hermione looked the most stunning out of them all, was beautiful even for his standards. Her hair flowing down her back while in that blue gown that he loved the most. The way she smiled when they danced and told him that this reminded him of their wedding a year ago. The thought of her in her wedding dress once again made him smile.
A couple days later, Hermione told him that she was expecting, a boy, gods he was having a boy. A smile that could be seen for miles it was so big, she looked at him and cried the happiest tears. Finally they were having a child. He hugged her and told her that he loved her with everything. She told their friends and they were delighted. If they were lucky Harry and Pansy’s baby girl would be in the same year as him. They decided to name her Lillian, that made everyone smile.
Coffee made Draco Malfoy smile as he woke up in the mornings. Theo and Luna were already talking to the gorgeous brunette that was carrying his child. They were going to travel for a couple months and Hermione was trilled for them. Luna promised to owl pictures and things for Hermione to read. Hermione smiled. Her stomach growing bigger everyday.
When Hermione’s water broke Draco panicked. Not knowing what to do she yelled at him to get her to St. Mungos. She sent a patronus to Ginny, telling her to let everyone know. Sitting in the waiting room, Draco Malfoy was nervous. A healer called him in to hold Hermione’s hand during the labor. She was crying when he came in but I don’t think it was out of the pain the little boy was causing her. She was happy.
When Draco heard the cries of his newborn he smiled. He look at Hermione and smiled. The doctors went and cleaned him off as he held Hermione’s hand and smiled. She looked at him with adoration and uttered the words I love you and he smiled. Hermione was holding the baby when she looked at him, I think I have a name for him, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy, doesn’t it sound lovely is what she said. Draco looked at her and nodded, it was perfect.
Hermione handed him Scorpius and Draco stood there in awe. He was beautiful. Surrounded by his friends he just looked at the baby and his eyes began to water and the smile on his face couldn’t be missed. Draco was a father and the love of his life had given him a perfect child. For the first time in years Draco Malfoy cried.

ok I’m gonna assume you’ve read the fallout and isolation before, but if you haven’t, check these two fics out first!! they are great for dramione skeptics and beginners

hogwarts fics
- what the room requires by alydia rackham: 6th year, Hermione is the one to find Draco in the bathroom, they get trapped in the RoR together
- clean & marked by olivieblake: two of my faves, clean takes place in 6th year, and marked takes place during the war, there are so many plot twists in this series, it’s amazing, beautifully written, i love it
- difficult by provocative-envy: one of my favorite fic writers ever, she is so so so talented, this is a basic hogwarts fic, I think it takes place 6th year but I don’t really remember but I do that remember I liked this
- silencio by akashathekitty: so much drama in this one! 6th year (haha do you see a trend?) personally their relationship moved way to fast for me, but this is still really good
- beautiful things can come from the dark by yesterdayschild4: despite the rape themes (it’s not D who rapes H), this fic is obnoxiously fluffy and I loved it
- forget me by emara88: this fic is so underrated! hermione passes out at a ministry party in 2001, and while in a coma, she discovers her hidden past at hogwarts
- delilah’s black book of poems by dark whisper: ONE OF MY FAVES!!! forbidden romance in this is so heart-wrenching!!! and “If you were mine” is one of the most iconic moments I have ever read
- live again by sophie733: why is this not more popular?? basically everyone dies in the war, and D&H go back in time to fix it
- presque toujours pur by shayalonnie: hermione is revealed to be pureblood, which changes basically everything, this fic is so interesting, though, post war hogwarts
- finders by everythursday: hermione and draco have to work together to solve a mystery at hogwarts, this is heavy on the plot and the romance is more of a background story, post war hogwarts
- virtus et ludicium by anjalimalfoy: to be honest, I don’t remember what this is about, but based on my abundance of highlighting in my books app, I must have liked it..? seventh year dramione
- suppressed emotions by hoplesslydevoted.xx: someone is after hermione, and draco is given the task of protecting her. this fic is amazing, I loved how their relationship is so slow burn
- and we all fall down by rumaan: this is sooo good. draco malfoy comes back to hogwarts halfway through the year after a stint in azkaban.

- cruel & beautiful world by lena phoria: the writer recently published this story into a book (yayy), but I have an .epub saved if anyone wants me to email it to them, voldy!wins AU
- turncoat by elizaye: if you’re looking for a fic similar to the fallout, this is it. draco switches sides and hermione is his confidant

According to Ao3 today is International Fanworks Day and in order to celebrate it I decided to do a list of my favourite Dramione fics. Idk if anybody will even look at this but here we go. As Ron and Hermione’s relationship falls apart, Draco courts her one day a year. Draco’s characterization in this is spot-on.
Siren Song by Captainraychill [E]
One of my favorite dark!AUs. The tone and imagery are fantastic.
Strings on us by Arcacia [M]
A dazzlingly abstract and somewhat confusing look at the red string of fate legend.
The Endless In Between by Darkrivertempest [E]
Another historical AU going through multiple lifetimes. I’m a sucker for historical AUs, and this one takes the cake in terms of both breadth and realism.

A lovely Regency-era AU, one of the few I like that deal with Scorpius.

Draco and Hermione are forced to work together, and eventually fall in love: this trope is another staple, and this is certainly one of the best.
Cruel and Beautiful World by Lena Phoria [M]
Dark, but so, so good. Contains mention of rape, murder, torture, etc., so be wary if you’re squeamish.

Anything by Musyc is amazing, and this is no exception. I love EWE Ministry fics, and this is one of the best.

Another staple of any Dramione fic rec list. My recommended introduction to the wonderful world of Dramione if you’re new to the ship.

Another Regency!AU, and a fantastic one at that.

Seriously, does The Fallout really need a review? It’s more or less the gold standard of Dramione: I dare you to find a fic rec list without this on it. For once, the hype truly is real. Enough said. It is longer than the first three Harry Potter books combined, so prepare for a time commitment.

One of the few stories I’ve been able to get through without gratuitous smut, which is saying something. Characterization is spot-on, and it’s hilarious to boot.

Head Boy/Head Girl fics are usually horribly cliché, but this one pulls it off.
Disasterology by provocative_envy [E]
I’m not much a fan of Veela fics, but this is one of the few exceptions. The writing is phenomenal.
Midnight by Kicaelum [M]
One of those fics you almost don’t want to read because you’ll be heartbroken when you realize it’s unfinished. This one is worth it, though.
Tender Vengeance by Margot Le Faye [MA]
For some reason, the captive!Hermione fic is pretty common. I love Hermione and Ginny’s relationship in this.
